Sometimes when there is too much rain, the landscaper does not mow the lawn in a given week because use of the lawnmowers would likely damage the lawns if they are too wet.  During the hotter, drier summer months, it is not necessary to mow the lawns on a weekly basis.  In fact, it is not good for the grass to cut it short as it will "burn up" in the hot sunshine.  It is better in such cases to let the grass get a little bushy as it tends to stay greener.  For these reasons, on the advice of our landscaper, the lawns are cut "as needed" rather than weekly.
