** Community Pool Update **
Posted on Jun 21st, 2020

Since the Governor issued his pool operating guidelines on May 18, the Master Association Board has collaborated with, and sought counsel from, multiple sources in making this decision: Custom Property Management, Metro Pools, the Cuyahoga County Board of Health, Kaman & Cusimano attorneys, and several neighboring HOA's and private and public pool operators.

It bears repeating that the COVID-19 outbreak has been an unprecedented event in our lifetimes. We are starting a week later than the target July 1 date because we have needed all of this time to consider the legal, health, financial, and operational implications in order to make a decision that we believe best serves our community…and then develop a workable operational plan.

No question, the pool experience will be different this year and we are not going to please everyone. We have had to reduce our pool hours to six hours per day, consisting of three, two-hour swim segments. The swim hours reduction will allow us to re-allocate a portion of our pool and contingency budget lines to accommodate the legal requirement to professionally clean and disinfect the public areas and restrooms every two hours. Furthermore, swim times will need to be scheduled, swimmers will need to bring their own beach chairs, and we will need to be mindful of social distancing. But, if we are understanding and work together as a community, we can all still have an enjoyable summer at the pool and ease closer to "normal".

More complete pool information will be mailed to each resident next week that will seek to answer common questions such as operating hours, pool time scheduling, pool rules, mask wearing, and lost/new card requests. If you have questions after receiving this information, please call Custom Property Management at 440-235-4007.
