WARNING!! More Break-ins in Olmsted Falls!
Posted on Mar 17th, 2017

On March 11, there were break-ins at homes in the Falls Pointe II portion of our development.  The Olmsted Falls Police Department strongly recommends the following:

1) Keep all exterior lights on, especially in the back of the house  They suggest using LED bulbs which cost very little to operate and last a very long time.
2) Lock all windows and doors at night, especially the slider.  A lock bar on the sliding glass door is recommended.
3) If you have an alarm system make sure signage is visible and the alarm system is armed at night whether you are home or not.

The Olmsted Falls Police Department asks that if you notice anything unusual, even something as simple as an item on your patio being moved, please notify the Olmsted Falls Department (911 for emergencies and 440-235-1234  non-emergency.)    They also asked to remind residents that if you plan to be gone on vacation or extended business travel, you can request from the police department that they keep a closer watch on your house.  That form can be found at http://www.olmstedfalls.org/document_center/Vacation_Vacant_House_check_form.pdf
